- Can I just add breakers to my main panel instead? If space and capacity allow, yes — and we’ll say so. A subpanel earns its cost when the panel is full, the loads are remote, or a structure needs its own disconnect.
- Does a subpanel require a permit? Yes — and unpermitted panels are a common escrow problem when selling. We permit everything.
