The home had outdate FPE fused panelboards which needed to be replaced in order to secure homeowners insurance, these panels were fed by cloth wiring with no ground wires present in many circuits.
In addition, the crawl space was full of open junction boxes with poorly made connections and overloaded circuits.
King Electric and solar was tasked with re-wiring the home and bringing it up to modern electrical code. We replaced outdated meter cans and electrical panels with modern electrical panel-boards. Ran new romex which included dedicated ground wires to existing circuit locations, and split circuits so that they would not over-load with modern appliances.
King Electric and Solar did all this while minimizing the amount of sheetrock needing to be cut saving the homeowner thousands in drywall repair.
At the end of the day the customer felt safer sleeping at night ans was able to retain their homeowner’s insurance.
